Throughout September 2023, the Mentoring Across Borders partnership will host training days for organisations to become Mentoring Hubs.

A mentoring hub is an organisation that will train older people to become mentors and match them with younger mentees through an online platform. Your organisation does not have to be involved in mentoring activities yet but should have an interest in developing mentoring capabilities. More information on mentoring hubs can be found on the Mentoring Across Borders website.

The Training Days will be hosted online and in English (with one event also in Italian) by four organisations in the partnership, AGE Platform Europe, CESES, CEV, and Vol.To, and are open to participation for any organisation interested in the project.

The goal of the MAB Training Day is to prepare interested organisations to assume the role of mentoring hub and participate in the project pilot activities. Characteristics, roles, and responsibilities of Mentoring Hubs will be presented, together with an introduction to the MAB Platform and the materials that mentoring hubs may use to train mentors.

A second round of Training Days will be held in December for organisations that cannot participate on the first date in September.
